What Bug Brokers is
Bug Brokers is a marketplace that connects homeowners in North Alabama with independent pest control companies. Bug Brokers is not a pest control operator and does not perform treatments. Each provider is an independent business licensed by the Alabama Department of Agriculture & Industries and is responsible for the work it performs.
Prices and payment
Prices shown are each provider's posted rates for the home details you enter. Your price is locked when you book. Your card is saved through Stripe and charged after each completed visit. Inspection jobs such as new termite treatment, bed bugs and wildlife removal are quoted separately by the provider. If the home details you entered are materially wrong, the provider may ask to re-price before the first visit, and you may cancel without charge.
Visits and service reports
Your provider agrees to call you within one business day of booking. If they don't, Bug Brokers may match you with another vetted provider at the same or a lower price and will tell you before your first visit. After each visit, your provider records what was done, and you receive a service report. Add-on treatments (for example mosquito, fire ant, termite bond renewal or rodent monitoring) are billed after each treatment at the price shown when you add them.
Annual prepay
If you choose annual prepay, the discounted price for the next 12 months of covered services is charged at your first visit of that service year, along with any initial service. If you cancel, the unused value of the prepay is refunded to your card. Prepay renews at the first visit after the prepaid year ends unless you switch back to paying per visit from your account page.
Credits and referrals
Referral and goodwill credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are applied automatically against future charges. A referral credit is issued to the referring customer after the new customer's first paid visit. Referrals within the same household do not qualify. Bug Brokers may change or end the referral program at any time; credits already issued remain valid.
Reviews
Only customers who have had a visit can review their provider. Reviews show your first name and last initial. Bug Brokers may hide reviews that contain personal information, abusive language or content unrelated to the service; hidden reviews do not count toward ratings. Providers cannot pay for or remove honest reviews.
Re-treatment guarantee
If you are on a recurring plan and covered pests return between scheduled visits, your provider re-treats at no charge. Request re-treatment through your booking page.
Cancelling
You may pause or cancel a plan at any time from your account page or by replying to any Bug Brokers email. Nothing is charged while a plan is paused. Visits already completed are not refunded, except as described under Annual prepay.
Provider Terms
Providers agree to honor their posted prices adjusted only by Bug Brokers' published property-type and lot-size factors; to keep their license and insurance current; to accept payment only through Bug Brokers for customers introduced by Bug Brokers for [24] months after introduction; to perform free re-treatments between scheduled visits; and to pay Bug Brokers its published commission on each payment, deducted automatically.
